Ruangan dengan Satu Jendela

Di sebuah rumah sakit, dua pria yang sedang sakit parah di tempatkan bersama dalam satu ruangan. Salah satu dari mereka diperbolehkan duduk satu jam setiap harinya untuk membantu mengeringkan cairan dari paru-parunya. Tempat tidurnya berada tepat di sebelahjendela yang ada di ruangan itu.

Pria yang lain hanya bisa berbaring sepanjang hari di sisi lain ruangan. Mereka bercerita berjam-jam tanpa henti. Tentang istri dan keluarga, rumah, pekerjaan, dan keterkaitan mereka dalam pelayanan militer, termasuk tempat-tempat mereka pergi berlibur. Dan setiap sore ketika pria yg tempat tidurnya berada di samping jendela diperbolehkan duduk, dia akan menghabiskan waktu dengan menceritakan kepada rekan sekamarnya semua hal yang dapat dia lihat diluar jendela. Kesuksesan adalah impian setiap manusia. Impian yang diharapkan dapat menjadi kenyataan dalam kehidupan setiap insan manusia. Namun sebelum kesuksesan tersebut bisa kita raih, kita harus berjuang dan berjuang demi meraihnya. Kesuksesan bukan berarti tanpa hambatan dan rintangan. Justru tanpa sebuah hambatan dan rintangan, tidak ada kesuksesan yang dicapai.


Ada beberapa hal yang harus dapat kita lalui dan atasi demi menggapai cita-cita. Jika kita dapat mengatasi 4 halangan ini, secara praktikal anda pasti bisa mencapai apapun yang anda inginkan.

1. Percaya pada Keterbatasan.
Alasan pertama yang membuat banyak orang terhambat dalam mengatur cita-cita
mereka adalah percaya akan keterbatasan. Banyak orang hanya bermimpi tentang apa
yang mereka idam-idamkan, namun bila diminta untuk membuat suatu komitmen target
dan rencana, mereka bahkan tidak menghiraukannya. Sesuatu dalam diri mereka
mengatakan "itu gak ada gunanya", bisa jadi karena hal tersebut sangat sulit
dicapai ataupun mereka tidak punya cara untuk mendapatkannya.

selama kita menjalani hidup, kita menemukan banyak kegagalan dan kekecewaan
secara rasional, sehingga pemikiran kritikal kita melarang kita untuk melanjutkan
kegiatan mimpi kosong kita.
Setiap kali kita merasa senang terhadap sesuatu, suara dalam diri kita akan
segera memberitahukan bahwa itu tidak mungkin dilakukan, anda tidak akan bisa
melakukannya, itu mustahil, dewasalah dan kembalilah kedunia nyata. ( hal itu
bisa saja gaungan suara orang tua kita, jika saja kita memiliki orang tua yang
tidak neko-neko yang tidak suka omong kosong). Sebagai hasilnya, hal ini akan
menahan kreatifitas kita dan melemahkan semangat kita yang merupakan elemen yang
perlu kita bentuk dan rancang untuk mendapatkan apa yang kita inginkan.
Kita harus belajar untuk membuka kunci imajinasi kita dan mengatur agar
kretaifitas kita bisa bebas.... bebas dari ketakutan and malu sehingga kita dapat
bermimpi dengan jelas.

3. Takut akan kegagalan.
Ketakutan akan kegagalan atau bahkan penolakan dan rasa malu merupakan apa yang
membuat banyak orang lumpuh bahkan sebelum mereka memulainya.
Apakah itu berarti bahwa orang yang berani merancang cita-cita tidak takut akan
kegagalan? Saya tidak setuju akan hal itu. Saya pikir semua orang pasti akan
membenci dan menakuti perasaan kegagalan, termasuk saya sendiri.
Jadi apa yang bisa membuat agar mereka bisa mengatur cita-cita mereka dan
melakukannya?
Yaitu dengan bagaimana kita mengartikan kegagalan kepada diri kita. Satu-satunya
orang yang dapat mengatakan bahwa kita telah gagal dan membuat kita merasa buruk
adalah...diri kita sendiri.
Ya, inilah bagaimana cara memukul diri kita sendiri. Pada saat kita tidak
mendapatkan apa yang kita mau walaupun kita baru melakukannya sekali, kita
langsung mengatakan bahwa kita telah gagal dan merasa buruk.
Sakit ini yang mencegah kita untuk melakukan langkah kedepan dan ini terjadi pada
kebanyakan orang -tidak berani mengambil rencana yang lebih tinggi, dengan
mengambil resiko.

4. Comfort Zone
Banyak orang tidak menyukai resiko karena mereka telah terlena dengan cara hidup
yang mulus, kehidupan yang mudah dengan kebiasaan dan materil yang nyaman. Mereka
tidak bersedia merubahnya dan tidak ingin kehilangan. Kecuali kehidupan nyaman
tersebut tidak berada dibawah suatu tekanan, mereka tidak akan melakukan apapun
untuk merubahnya.
Merancang cita-cita dan melakukannya memang biasanya merubah kebiasaan kita,
mengorbankan waktu kita dengan teman-teman,dan hal-hal lain. Hal ini yang
menyebabkan banyak orang yang melakukannya setengah-setengah . Pada saat kegiatan
baru ini memiliki hasil yang tidak mereka inginkan, mereka menarik diri...ini
terlalu berat.


Tidak ada jalan pintas untuk sukses disemua bidang- bisnis/karir, kesehatan atau hubungan pribadi. Jadi, bersiaplah untuk melakukan apa yang dikatakan pengorbanan dan jika anda melakukannya, penghargaannya pasti akan anda miliki....

We all do it even if we are embarrassed to admit it; we all talk to ourselves. But what you might not know is that what you say is literally sealing your fate. I always cringe when I hear someone say, “Nothing good ever happens to me” or “I don’t have the right connections to get ahead.” While these may sound like normal expressions of frustration, they are far more powerful than you can ever imagine!

If negative things were said about you during your childhood, plus you have continued to say the same things about yourself as an adult, your mind now firmly believes them to be true and you are probably acting accordingly.


That’s why many students that were failing in school were actually discovered to be quite intelligent. They had been told by abusive parents that they were dumb and would never amount to anything, and therefore they believed it and proceeded to live out that expectation.

Am I stuck with my beliefs or can they be changed?

The 20th century novelist William James was quoted as saying, “Human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.” And since attitudes are simply habits of thought, the good news is that you can definitely change your thoughts; and once you change your thoughts, everything else in your life will have to respond.

The most powerful tool ever discovered for changing your thoughts, beliefs, and ultimately your actions, is a tool called affirmations. An affirmation is a fancy word for self-talk or self-suggestion. It’s basically talking to yourself. How do affirmations work?

In other words, new fresh input will eventually override previous negative conditioning.

Steps for developing successful affirmations:

1. Decide what you want to become, what you want to do, and what you want to have. Stating things in general terms, such as “I want to spend more time with my family” will not be effective. Instead say, “I spend an hour each night talking with and reading books to my children.” Be very specific!

2. Use the first person pronoun “I” in your statement, never “we.” Although you may have mutual goals with your family, each person’s affirmation must be stated individually such as, “I cooperate with the financial goals my family has set.”

3. State your affirmation in a positive way. Say, “I enjoy public speaking” rather than, “I don’t feel afraid when I have to speak publicly.” Omit negative words like “don’t.”

4. Use the present tense. Say, “I am the Vice President of the company” not “I want to be the Vice President.” Remember, the mind does not differentiate between what is true and what is false, so you will want to plant the seed that you have already arrived so that your mind will begin to influence your behavior and actions toward your goal.

5. Make your affirmations fun. Motivation arises from the expectation of the fulfillment of your needs and desires. Enjoy your affirmations; be creative!

6. Write down your affirmations. Writing crystallizes thought and thought motivates action. Write your affirmations on small cards to keep with you, tape them to your mirror or refrigerator; repeat them the first thing each morning and the last thing each night.

You can create an affirmation for every area of your life: personal development, job promotion, family relationships, and spiritual growth. Affirmations are aided by pictures of your goals, such as posting a floor plan of your dream house on a bulletin board; by number combinations, such as I make 10 calls a day, 6 become appointments, and 3 become sales; and by actions such as listening to motivational tapes, practicing a piece of music over and over, or using a daily “to-do” list.

Affirmations are used by all self-motivated, successful people. They possess an inner drive for achievement that keeps them striving toward their goals and are not dependent on outside circumstances or others to make their life work.

Self-motivation is a learned skill; if you don’t presently have it, you can acquire it by using positive affirmations. Jika kita ingin impian kita terwujud ya harus dengan tindakan nyata dan bagaimana kita mengarahkan impian tersebut menjadi sebuah kenyataan. Tentu saja rekan-rekan semua harus mau berkorban untuk mencapai impian tersebut baik waktu, pikiran, tenaga, hingga materi. Pengorbanan anda semua itulah yang akan menjadi langkah awal anda mencapai sukses.

Memang untuk meraih impian tidaklah mudah, banyak hambatan dan rintangan yang akan menghadang... wah kayak off road aja ya...
Dan kegagalan adalah sebuah perasaan yang dirasakan anda sekalian ketika mengetahui apapun yang telah anda lakukan sepertinya sia-sia.

Siapapun juga didunia ini pasti ingin meraih kesuksesan hidup. Tak ada orang yang ingin gagal dalam hidupnya. Namun untuk meraih kesuksesan hidup ini kita terlebih dulu harus mempunyai tujuan yang ingin dicapai atau bahasa kerennya IMPIAN......
Tanpa sebuah tujuan hidup (Dream) mustahil kesuksesan akan diraih, dan yang lebih parah adalah membuat hidup menjadi semakin membosankan, menjemukan, dan stagnan...


Kebanyakan orang yang menjalani hidup tanpa sebuah tujuan hanya akan fokus pada kehidupanya sendiri, kalaupun menyelesaikan sebuah pekerjaan juga hanya terfokus pada waktu yang ada tapi tanpa sebuah prestasi yang berarti. Mereka hanya akan menjadi "seorang penonton". Mereka hanya bisa melihat keberhasilan orang lain tetapi sama sekali tidak bisa membayangkan keberhasilan bagi diri sendiri. Itu disebut dengan hidup tak bertujuan. Kita harus mempunyai misi hidup yang tinggi di dunia ini agar hidup kami lebih berarti dan berarti.

Untuk mencapai keberhasilan memang tidaklah mudah dan penuh dengan jalan yang berliku. Kegagalan atau kesalahan adalah tantangan yang harus dapat dilalui dengan sebuah respon yang sebaik-baiknya.
